About Us

Take the leap and energize your organization.

Orange Leap energizes nonprofits, making it easier for them to achieve mission success. The Dallas-based company (formerly known as MPower) offers innovative yet simple to use software-based solutions that strengthen relationships with constituents and other nonprofits. With access to the software's source code, Orange Leap's ever-growing community collaborates on developing and sharing advanced constituent management technology and the smartest practices. Nonprofits big and small, with a wide range of missions and constituencies, choose Orange Leap to move their organizations forward.

Why is the company rebranding?

We decided to rebrand as Orange Leap to reflect the company’s passion for providing bold constituent management solutions to the nonprofit community. From inception, our business has been about providing nonprofits with bold, new technology so they can take their constituent management and fundraising to the next level – so they can advance their organizations with real velocity.

Making our software available as an open source solution last year is a good example of this. Nonprofit professionals and industry experts have celebrated that bold move as exactly what the sector needs because for the first time, organizations now have total flexibility to have the exact constituent management functionality they need at an unmatched and fair total cost of ownership.

We very proactively continue providing such innovation and value on an ongoing basis in everything we do. The Orange Leap name and logo are as energetic, fresh, bold, unique, friendly and memorable as our approach to software, support and services.

What does the new name mean?

We chose Orange Leap as our new company name because both words together describe something bright, active, vibrant, friendly and different. These are the key attributes of our organization’s mission and culture. The color orange actually has always been our corporate color for these reasons. Our new tagline – “Where Nonprofits Rise and Shine” – extends that messaging.

Is Orange Leap still providing open source constituent management?

Absolutely! We are still the same company providing the most open, flexible and powerful constituent management software, support and services developed specifically for nonprofits.

Since taking our product open source in March 2008, we’ve put a lot of focus on this unique aspect of our product. But as we continue to innovate and our community of users grows, there will be new features and functionality to talk about, showcase and share. Our broader mission has always been and remains delivering innovation and efficiency through bold technology to the nonprofit community for the maximum value and lowest total cost of ownership.

What are Orange Leap’s newest product innovations?

In 2009, we’re introducing a number of new products including two in the first quarter alone. One is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) – or on-demand – constituent management application unlike any other currently available for nonprofits. It allows organizations to truly automate their key business processes and rules directly in the application, eliminating wasteful workarounds and increasing efficiency exponentially so nonprofit staff can focus on more strategic functions.

The other new product, called The Guru, is an easy-to-use open solution for analyzing data. Virtually any nonprofit staff member, regardless of technical expertise, can use this wizard-based, browser-accessible tool to create and share custom reports pulled from data in any of his/her organization’s various databases (e.g., databases for finance and accounting, content management, inventory, donor management and CRM).  Unique among nonprofit solutions for analyzing data and reporting, The Guru is database-agnostic and can generate reports based on pulling data from multiple vendors’ database products.

How does the rebranding affect clients and additional users of the company’s products?

Clients and additional users of our products will not be affected by the rebranding other than they will see a new Web site with the new company name and logo as well as fresh content and a new feel. We’ll be rolling out the new Web site in phases, launching a limited version in February 2009 and then adding content in stages in coming months.
